Mastodon Juan at Bowery Poetry Club!

On Friday, December 3rd as part of the Sticky series at Bowery Poetry Club, I played the Narrator in a play called “Mastodon Juan,” written by katharine sherman and directed by Christopher Diercksen.  It involved Mastodons - both the extinct mammals and the metal band – bad boys, tar pits and other forms of debauchery.  I had the challenge of putting a 4-minute monologue to memory and getting the audience pumped about Mastodons.  An all-around awesome time…that was streamed live!

Love in the Time of Channukah at Ars Nova!

On November 17th, I performed the role of “estro jen” in a hilarious and amazingly fun show written by Joshua Elias Harmon and directed by Mia Rovegno called “Love in the Time of Channukah.”  It was part of this year’s ANT FEST at Ars Nova and was one of the best times I’ve ever had working on a show!

A college freshman celebrating Channukah on his own for the very first time, gayboi’s got a funky bff, a Neanderthal-lite homophobic roommate, a studly str8 crush, a flaming sidekick and a fairy godmother. But can he find family? And true love? A proper gay fantasia, sans Kushner.

Performed by Brandt Adams, Nick Bonnar, Amanda Broomell, Nick Ducassi, Eric Eteuati and Skye Scott

Winner of “In a New York Minute” Play Festival!

I recently performed in Spare Change Theater’s “In A New York Minute” One-Minute Play festival.  It was a blast and the Alice-in-Wonderland-meets-Robin-Hood-meets-Little-Red-Riding-Hood Play called “Through a Looking Glass Darkly” by William Newkirk won first prize!  Very exciting.  Another play I was in called “Agreed” written by Stephen Strangio came in 3rd place.  An all-around great time (and I won some cash!).
